Go Internet customers get double speed, download limits E-mail Print
Written by HiVoltage

In the next few days, GO will be upgrading their customers' account both in speed and download limits. All customers except those that are currently on 2Mbps will get an upgrade. Those that currently have a 4Mbps connection will get upgraded to 8Mbps, and those currently on 6Mbps, will get 12. These quoted speeds refer to downstream only. Upstream is still unchanged at 512Kbps. Monthly download limits were also more or less doubled in all accounts. GO are now also offering an unlimited download connection for €70 monthly with a download speed of 20Mbps.

We are going in the right direction, as speed goes up and bandwidth is becoming unlimited. Prices are still high compared to other foreign packages, while the upload speed is still low at 512K. Wish I could afford the 20mb connection.

Well i have two GO internet accounts, one is a business account the other residential, according to both account details they have been upgraded to 8Mbps and 80 gig download threshold, so far doing a local speed test still gets me aroung 4Mbps downstream. Is the new speed going to kick in soon or is this the best i can get out of my lines.
