In the last weeks of April, Google added Malta in the list of countries where turn-by-turn navigation in Google Maps is supported. All one has to do is point the current location and the destination, and Google comes back with the details of how to get there. At the moment, however, a number of important details such as one ways and points of interest are missing. To alleviate this, Google allows anyone to submit changes to the map. These are then moderated, and if accepted, are eventually published to the live map. Recently, turn by turn navigation was also enabled on some of the mobile versions, and will be coming officially to more platforms very soon. Now, all we need is for everyone to start submitting corrections, and since Google Mobile Maps requires mobile data, we also need data prices that would cost a bit less than 50 times the price of fuel to get from point A to point B.
